CompanyPresentation
The initial focus of CAYLA was microbiology, which was the basis for the creation of the company.
Very quickly, researchers at CAYLA optimized rapid techniques allowing the
selection of rare or interesting microorganisms in their natural environment,
producing a number of metabolites: antibiotics, enzymes, insecticides, herbicides, colorants, etc. This activity of screening led CAYLA to build a collection of more than 10 000 strains containing principally Streptomycetes, rare Actinomycetes and filamentous fungi. CAYLA has a very good mastery of the manipulation of all these microorganisms, as well as lactic bacteria in the broad sense: optimizing culture media, taxonomic identification, identification and dosage of microbiological metabolites, storage of strains. All of these techniques are thoroughly optimized, today allowing CAYLA to offer a large range of products with applications as varied. This technical expertise in modern methods of fermentation, relied on and enriched by its research and development laboratories in molecular biology and chemistry, currently allows CAYLA to be the supplier of two major types of products which are the active ingredients for cosmetic use and laboratory reagents. |
